TECsystems Electric, Inc. was officially "born" on February 5, 1997. Aaron Wright started the business while working full-time at Western Michigan University. In the summer of 1998, he left WMU to devote 100 % of his time to operating TECsystems. Pam Wright left a position in office services at a marketing company in the fall of 1998 to work full-time in the field and the office. Together, Aaron and Pam Wright devote their efforts to the growth and operation of TECsystems Electric, Inc.
The Wright's are strongly committed to their family and all the team members, who are like family, also. In 1999, TECsystems became members of the Associated Builders and Contractors. Aaron and Pam are active members of ABC's Southwest Michigan Electrical Contractors' Council. In 2005, TECsystems Electric, Inc. joined the Kalamazoo Builders Exchange.
TECsystems Electric, Inc. was first located in a storage area near the Western Michigan University Campus. When the company outgrew that facility, Aaron and Pam moved it to a basement office in their home. As the company continued to grow and develop, the Wright's found it necessary to move the company to its now-permanent location at 5072 South 29th Street. This location includes the office, two buildings for storing equipment and supplies, and parking for the fleet of vans, trucks, bucket truck, trailers and other large equipment.
